Hi, I’m Katie, Chartered Psychologist,
EMDR Therapist and CBT Practitioner based in Aberdeenshire.
I have called Scotland home since I joined a local authority as a Chartered Educational Psychologist in the North East.
In 2018, I became a Depute Principal Educational Psychologist; a role I now partner with work in private practice covering Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray. My professional qualifications include: Doctor of Educational and Child Psychology (DEdCPsy), MSc Applied Forensic Psychology, BSc (Hons) Psychology, EMDR Therapy
My Mission
I've worked with lots of different client groups in my career so far, including children and young people, their parents, nursery and school staff and also offenders and individuals seeking hospital treatment for mental health conditions.
I now specialise in working with children and young people, helping them to overcome challenges in school, with their mental health and the impact of trauma.

I believe when children are at their best, they thrive through positive social interaction, are able to talk about their thoughts and feelings; they understand how to think flexibly and are self-aware and able to practice self-care.
I am fortunate to have the skillset but most importantly the flexibility as an independent psychologist to work with children and young people, parents and schools.
I am able to focus on mental health in the broadest sense and I understand that for children to be successful and have the confidence to try new things, we must think about their development holistically and consider their physical, social, emotional and educational needs.
I aim to equip you with a “toolbox” of strategies to help you and your child stay on track, move forward and navigate any of the bumps along the way.
