Educational Psychology solutions across Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray

SCHOOL BASED DROP-IN CLINICS

Alba Rose Psychology understand that accessing professional advice from services can sometimes feel like an impossibility due to long waiting lists and rising thresholds to access support.

We can provide informal drop-in clinics in school that can be attended by parents or staff to help resolve those lower-level concerns that wouldn’t necessarily reach the threshold for involving a local authority Educational Psychologist or CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service). By removing the barrier of a waiting list or thresholds and criteria, Alba Rose Psychology can support both parents and staff through informal discussion about a concern or issue they are facing.

STAFF SUPPORT & SUPERVISION SESSIONS (small group)

Supervision is commonplace in a number of sectors where staff are supporting the wellbeing of others, yet frontline education staff who are facing increasing workloads and responsibilities, are not routinely offered the same level of care and support.

Alba Rose Psychology believes that developing the resilience of Teachers, Pupil Support Assistants and Early Years Practitioners is vital in preventing staff burnout, whilst supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people. We offer supervision sessions to school-based and outreach staff either in groups or as individuals.

Other Support Services

Coaching within education and health settings can be a useful tool in exploring challenges, increasing personal growth and enhancing wellbeing. During a coaching programme with Alba Rose Psychology, you can expect to be listened to, asked questions to explore your thinking and behaviours and given support to identify and follow a course of action based upon your values and strengths.

Coaching can take place face-to-face, by telephone, or online (e.g. via Zoom or MS Teams).

COACHING

Alba Rose Psychology offers tailored CLPL (Career-Long Professional Learning) for settings that support children and young people, for example nurseries, playgroups, schools, colleges and organisations. Through collaborative needs analysis, a programme of training or one-off event can be developed to suit staff availability, role and experience.
